Kerry has been involved in the life of The Gap Uniting Church congregation since she and her siblings were baptized here as infants. She has been involved in the church's children's programs for over 5 years, beginning as a Sunday School teacher and progressing through various leadership positions since then.
Kerry's passion lies in working with children and youth, introducing them to Christianity and developing them as Jesus followers. As well as Sunday School, she has been involved in children's holiday programs such as Kids Games, Day Camp and Fun Fari. She has attended several Day Camps as a leader and has been a director since 2009 in both Day Camp and Fun Fari. She has also been a leader at the Kids Club and Youth Group programs for over a year.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland, Kerry hopes to continue working with children as an Occupational Therapist upon graduation at the end of 2012. In her spare time, Kerry is an Assistant Scout Leader at Oakleigh Scout Troop, where she enjoys camping and outdoors activities with the Scouts. When she has the time, she is more than happy to curl up with a good book!
Kerry is enthusiastic about joining the team at The Gap UC, and has many plans and dreams for the children's and youth programs both here at The Gap, and in conjunction with other churches in the area.
